The records of a Warwickshire landed family extending over 800 years, comprising a large number of medieval deeds, including significant numbers for the estates of Bordesley Abbey; estate and household account books from 1662 to the 20th century; and over 2,000 items of correspondence, including letters on General Burgoyne's campaign in North America from Sir Francis Carr Clerke, ADC to General Burgoyne. He was mortally wounded and captured at Saratoga in 1777.The archive also contains much information on the development of Leamington as a spa town and the history of other local communities.
