Acquired together with a sketch book with drawings by Lady Frances Elizabeth Compton, presumably the pupil of JC Nattes. The drawings are generally ink or pencil sketches, most of the subjects topographical focusing on Castle Ashby and the surrounding countryside, though both also draw unexpected views of outbuildings and industrial features.
